A FILM BY EWAN MACBETH
THE NETHERLANDS | 5'| 2025 | DIGITAL
While a burn survivor dwells on the event that scarred him, the people culpable try to cover up their greed-filled malpractice. As such, Facade becomes a poignant fable on empathy, guilt and culpability in the face of the cost-cutting austerity politics of the UK. Ewan Macbeth wrote this short when he himself was in the hospital recovering from a car accident, and found himself faced with the effects of these austerity policies on national healthcare.
